Beaches Native Woodshop offers hands-on woodworking classes for adults, parents and children, and young aspiring woodworkers. Whether you're looking to learn a new skill, gain confidence using power tools, tackle projects around the house, or spend quality time building something with your child, our classes provide an opportunity to learn through hands-on experience.

Classes are taught by Steffan Koch, owner and lead carpenter of Beaches Native Builders, a Jacksonville-area custom carpentry company specializing in custom cabinetry, living room built-ins, electric fireplace walls, dry bars, decks, and other custom woodworking projects. You can view examples of Steffan's professional work through the social media links in the main menu.

Our workshops are designed to accommodate different ages, experience levels, and interests. From parent/child woodworking experiences to adult woodworking classes, participants learn essential skills such as measuring, planning, proper and safe tool use, problem-solving, and craftsmanship. As the program expands, additional offerings will include youth woodworking programs, more advanced project-based courses, and practical home improvement and repair classes.

All tools, materials, and step-by-step instruction are provided, with beginner-friendly classes requiring no prior woodworking experience.

At Beaches Native Woodshop, we believe woodworking is more than just building a project. It's about developing practical skills, building confidence, discovering creativity, and experiencing the satisfaction of creating something with your own hands.
